I had ‘Mr Normington’ as my woodwork teacher when I came to Jurien Bay District High School in 2015.

I had barely spoken to him, but a very good and approachable man nonetheless.

Saddened to hear of his death. Rest In Peace, Michael.

It was a pleasure to work with Mike, he was a great colleague, very good fisherman and inspiring teacher. Our children thoroughly enjoyed his D&T classes and our family has many exceptional treasures that were created under his guidance. Our deepest thoughts go out to his family during this time. We hope that the many memories and love you shared will provide comfort now and into the years ahead.

The workshop will be quiet without you and the jetty empty. Rest peacefully dear friend.
