    The Railway Man’s Prayer
Oh Lord, You know us railway men. We live by signals. Sometimes we can’t see them plain because the smoke of this world gets in the way, but most of us try to read the signals right.
Our brother Les Johnson here is on his last run, we ask you Oh Great Train Controller to give him a green signal all the way to thy yard limits, and have the points and roads be set for a clear run into that great shunting yard and loco that thou has created where this great railway man may book off, retire, and “Rest In Peace”.
    Amen.
