After Hours Transfer Officer – Casual – Mid West Funerals – Geraldton
We are seeking an After Hours Transfer Officer (casual) to support our team to provide dignified care and quality funeral services throughout the Mid West region. This casual position will be ideal for a caring, well-presented and flexible person.
The Role
The After Hours Transfer Officer will work as an integral member of the team to transfer deceased people in a highly dignified, caring and discreet manner. The transfer officer must be available to be on a rostered standby, where a remunerated ‘standby allowance’ is offered. The officer must promptly respond to transfer requests which may occur within the times mentioned below. The transfer officer will be asked to perform standby duties on a one-week-in-three basis and may also be asked to work other casual shifts from time to time.
To be considered for this position, you will require:
- One to two years’ experience in a customer service role;
- Availability between the hours of 4:30pm and 8:30am on weekdays and 4:30pm on a Friday to 8:30am on Monday to carry out transfers when required;
- To live within 20 minutes from our Sanford Street office in Geraldton;
- Excellent people and communication skills; and
- Ability to work effectively within a small team.
